No two handmade pens are identical.  There are natural differences in the materials, even from the same batch.  And because we are not using mass production methods, there will also be differences in the final shape of each pen.  This means that you can take pride in your pen knowing that it is unique to you.

There are mass produced wooden pens made from largely bland woods with little or no character.  When we select a piece of wood for our pen, we look for character and interest.  Even over the length of a pen, the wood grain and texture can vary and we select our cuts accordingly.  There are of course natural features such as knots in the woods that add to this character, and we try to include these features.  The feel of a carefully crafted wooden pen is hard to describe without trying one!

When you buy one of our pens, you are not paying for a brand name above substance.  We select quality components only from reliable suppliers, and every part of the pen is carefully examined.  We price our pens based on how much it costs us, plus a very small profit margin for labour.
